The first 550 Class C resort licenses are transferable to any other location in the state. It is possible to still get a Class C Resort license directly from the State.

Specially Designated Distributor Liquor License (SDD) –  Customers are able to purchase beer, wine, and spirits in their original packaging for consumption away from the licensed location.

Specially Designated Merchant License (SDM) – The sale of wine and beer to customers in their original packages for consumption outside the licensed location is possible.

Steps to getting a Oceana County Liquor License

  1. Select a location: In order to obtain a liquor license in Michigan, a Letter of Intent must be signed, or a lease or deed verifying you have the right to the property must be shown.
